Matt Hom
Matt Hom, MD
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Hom is a Board-Certified physician in Internal Medicine who completed his residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital after obtaining his medical degree from Temple University. He has been in private practice in San Diego since 2000, providing care to adults on both outpatient and inpatient levels.
Medical aesthetics is only one component of Dr. Hom’s expertise. It is through his experience working with elderly people with chronic illnesses that has made him passionate about helping his patients of all ages develop a healthy lifestyle program that can help prevent and even reverse debilitating conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and stress.
Dr. Hom also understands that the key to wellness is not simply just the absence of disease, but participation in life events that make one healthy. It is this holistic approach towards health that separates Dr. Hom from his peers.
A third-generation San Diegan, Dr. Hom may often be seen in the community educating others on a variety of medical topics. As an active member of the San Diego Downtown Rotary Club, he regularly gives the Health Tip Minute on pertinent medical topics.
He also enjoys giving back to the community. Currently, Dr. Hom serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Natural History Museum. Recently he was voted by his peers as the La Jolla representative alternate for the San Diego County Medical Society.
Dr. Hom believes in wellness for himself as well as for his patients. He spends his spare time with his wife Julie, his partner in both life and work, and enjoys traveling, biking and snowboarding..
